Thechemical engineering major is one of the majors with a long historyin Hefei University of Technology. It is now a specialty major inAnhui Province. In 2011, it passed the National Engineering EducationCertification for the first time. In 2013, it was approved as a pilotmajor for the national outstanding engineer training program and anAnhui provincial major and a pilot major for comprehensive reform. Itwas approved as a provincial school-enterprise cooperation practiceeducation base in 2014. In 2017, it completed the secondcertification of the National Engineering Education Certification bythe Ministry of Education (valid for 6 years). It is now also a keydevelopment major with strong teaching and scientific researchstrength and distinctive operating characteristics.
